Established in 1984, the Krahn Group of Companies is a multi-discipline engineering firm dedicated to practical, cost-effective solutions for the most challenging residential, industrial, commercial and institutional projects. For four decades we have built a reputation for innovative, comprehensive engineering in both the public and private sectors of the construction industry across Canada, and, through our Phoenix office, in Arizona.

Our founder

David R. Krahn, P.Eng., P.E.

Dave established Krahn Engineering in 1984 after studying civil and structural engineering at Lakehead University and BCIT. Over four decades he has grown the business into the cross-disciplinary Krahn Group of Companies with a broad client base across Canada. His expertise extends to steel, concrete, tilt-up and cast-in-place construction, and he brings a practical, hands-on approach to every project. He remains actively involved in operations, providing support, training and expertise to the whole team.

We focus on an integrated engineering approach across our disciplines to carry projects from conception to final occupancy. Every project has a designated project manager who coordinates our departments and acts as the single point of contact through design and construction. Over the years we have built strong relationships with the agencies and governing bodies involved in the building process, which lets us manage projects through approvals efficiently.
